Dateline: SHIPPENSBURG
Article Text:Two Missouri men were injured yesterday when a car in which they were riding was struck by a utility trailer that broke loose from a pickup truck that was towing it on Interstate 81 in Hampton Twp.

The driver of the car, Derek Landolt, 20, of Wellsville, Mo., was taken to Chambersburg Hospital where he was undergoing treatment last night, a hospital spokeswoman said. A passenger in the Landolt car, Jerry Withinton Jr., 20, of St. Louis was released after treatment at the hospital. Police said Landolt and Withinton both are serving with the Navy.

State police at Chambersburg said the 6: 45 p.m. accident occurred in the southbound lanes of I-81 just north of Exit 10. Police said the pickup truck towing the trailer was driven by Steven Eby of Morgantown, W.Va.

They said both vehicles went off the roadway and flipped over. Landolt and Withinton were thrown from the car. Eby was not injured, police said.
