Crash victim critical

Chester J. Sagon, 73, of Somers, Conn., was in critical condition in Hershey Medical Center yesterday with injuries from an accident on Interstate 81. State police said Sagon lost control of his pickup truck and utility trailer around 7: 45 a.m. Sunday. The trailer broke loose and the truck spun and hit a bank, they said.

Woman drives into creek

A local woman who was on the wrong road drove her car into Conodoguinet Creek around 1: 30 a.m. Saturday, township police said.

They said Cynthia Bouder, 57, thought she was on North Middleton Road, but was on Park Drive, which ends at the creek. Bouder wasn't hurt and left the scene without reporting the crash, police said. An officer saw her car in the creek around 3: 45 a.m., police said.

1 hurt in crash

Jared Bucher, 19, of Penn Twp., suffered minor injuries when he lost control of his car and hit a tree in the 100 block of Kutz Road just after 5 p.m. Saturday, state police said.

Teen suspects sought

Police are looking for two teenagers who they said might have stolen beer from a garage in the 2100 block of Hastings Drive on Saturday night. The teens drove away in a blue Volvo sedan, police said.

The homeowner saw the car stop in front of his home after 11 p.m. and confronted one of the teens inside the garage, police said. That teen fled to the car, police said.

Police described that teen as white, 6-feet tall, with a heavy build and short brown hair. He was wearing a red and blue striped shirt, jeans and white baseball cap. The driver was described as white, with curly hair and possibly wearing glasses. Anyone with information may call police at 795-2445.

Driver hits bridge

A car driven by Richard Lawson, 50, of Harrisburg, struck a bridge abutment at the Quittapahilla Creek at 6: 26 p.m. Friday in the 900 block of Syner Road, police said. The bridge abutment was damaged and will be checked by PennDOT for safety, police said.

Driver cited in crash

Zachary Haines, 17, of the 1000 block of South Green Street, was cited for not having his headlights on after colliding with a vehicle driven by Stephanie Plummer, 37, of the 400 block of Old Farm Road at 9: 40 p.m. Friday in the 900 block of South Forge Road, police said. Plummer was treated at Hershey Medical Center. She told police she couldn't see Haines' vehicle because he didn't have his headlights on and pulled into his path from Fir Street.

Home entered

Fishing gear, a pellet rifle and a case of Coors Light were among the items stolen during a burglary in the 200 block of Juniata Parkway East. State police said the break-in occurred between Jan. 7 and Saturday at a mobile home owned by Paul Buffington of Elizabethville.
